Botox

Botox is an FDA approved purified protein which is injected into targeted muscles and temporarily blocks nerve signals that cause muscle movements, essentially relaxing the muscle which reduces or eliminates fine lines and wrinkles.

Within 3-5 days of the Botox injection, the treated facial muscles become temporarily relaxed, causing the overlying skin to lay flat and unwrinkled. The untreated facial muscles contract in a normal fashion allowing facial expressions to be unaffected.

Botox injections only take a few minutes and will remain effective for approximately 3 months. With regular treatments, Botox can help train your facial muscles to reduce wrinkles and facial pain for longer periods of time. Derma Fillers

Our skilled doctor will use dermal fillers to smooth and fill mild to severe facial folds and wrinkles on every part of your face including:

• Nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the mouth)
• Marionette lines (lines from the corner of the mouth to the chin)
• Smoker’s lines or water bottle lines (vertical lines that frame your smile)
• Wrinkles on the cheek area

Unlike face lifts that stretch the skin, dermal fillers are smooth, injectable gels made from naturally occurring hyaluronic acid. The use of dermal fillers adds volume for a more natural, youthful appearance.

Dermal fillers are a simple and safe prescription product used to restore volume to the area around the mouth, add fullness to the lips, balance uneven lip lines, erase the downward frown lines at the corners of the mouth as well as fill in wrinkles/creases in cheek areas and raise scar depressions.

The procedure takes 30-40 minutes, leaves no marks or scars, and provides immediate results. The effects of the treatment typically last 6-12 months.

Dermal Fillers for Lip Enhancement:
Thin or uneven lips can quickly be remedied by one of our physicians using a dermal lip filler. Restylane or Juvederm are most commonly used and after a few comfortable injections, your lips will be transformed before your eyes.

Our goal, as always, is providing our patients with natural-looking results. We don’t like lips to look “overdone” or unnaturally full. We take into account the frame of your face and together will devise a plan to help balance your lips and give you the perfect “pout”!

We also use dermal fillers to smooth the vertical lip lines that often frame and detract from your smile. These lines, sometimes referred to as “smoker’s lines” are easily smoothed just using a small amount of dermal filler. These treatments do not make your lips appear larger, just more youthful.
